Here to support your healing journey
Life’s challenges can sometimes feel heavy—but you don’t have to carry them alone.
At Road to Wellness, we provide compassionate, culturally responsive care for women and individuals within the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. We believe that everyone deserves a space that feels safe, supportive, and free of judgment.
Our approach is strengths-based—we help you recognize and build on the resources, skills, and resilience you already possess. Together, we’ll explore what’s working, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and create small but meaningful steps toward the life you want.

We use evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) to help you:

-
Find clarity about your goals and the future you want
-
Shift negative thoughts into more supportive ones
-
Build on your existing strengths and inner resilience
-
Develop new ways of coping when life feels overwhelming
-
Create habits that feel sustainable and aligned with your values
We’ll move at your pace—focusing on what feels most important to you in the moment, while keeping sight of the bigger changes you want over time.

Aleesha Grier-Rogers, Psy.D
Licensed(CT, ME, NY) & PSYPACT Authorized Clinical Psychologist
About Me I’m a licensed psychologist with a focus on supporting clients through deeply personal and challenging health journeys. My work centers on obesity recovery, infertility, reproductive grief and loss, depression, addictions, workplace stress (including bias and discrimination), and relationship concerns. I am especially passionate about supporting women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and actors or other creatives navigating the unique demands of the entertainment industry. Supporting Women Through Infertility My own IVF journey gave me firsthand insight into the limited mental health support available for women undergoing assisted reproductive technology. Facing failed cycles, pregnancy losses, or lingering anxiety—even during successful pregnancies—can feel overwhelming. Since 2013, I have had the privilege of helping women process these challenges, heal from birth trauma, and feel empowered on their path to motherhood. Obesity Recovery and Bariatric Support I have extensive experience conducting pre-bariatric surgery evaluations and providing ongoing mental health support after procedures such as gastric sleeve and gastric bypass. I also support clients navigating newer treatments like GLP-1 agonists (Ozempic, Mounjaro) and lifestyle-based interventions. In both areas, I use focused, evidence-based strategies to help clients manage the emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges that accompany these health journeys. My Approach My therapy style is collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based. I integrate evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness, and relapse prevention. Together, we explore your strengths, build coping skills, reduce distress, and develop practical strategies to move toward the life you want. Understanding how culture, family, and community shape your perspective is central to my work. The most rewarding moments are when clients realize they already possess the strength and skills to create lasting change. Education Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.), University of Hartford Master’s in Clinical Psychology, University of Hartford Completed clinical training at Yale School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, where, since 2009, I have served as clinical faculty member
